Flip Flop Hopscotch and More Ruffles

See! I have been sewing.

The little girls need comfy tops to go with their shorts and skorts so out the Oliver + S Hopscotch pattern came.  The fabric is part of the Ellie kit from Sew It Up.

I chose to change things up a bit by using ribbing to finish the sleeve edges .  I applied it the same way you do the neck opening.

And I finally got around to finishing the gray pair of ruffle shorts...

Gray Class Picnic Shorts with Ruffles

These are a tad more pratical than the white linen pair.:)

    1. Being lazy about changing thread pays off!;) I like the way the white looks against the gray too. Thanks!

  5. Great to see you're still sewing, I hope the construction zone is becoming manageable! The top is gorgeous, such wonderful fabric, though it took me a good look to see the flip-flops! and make the link to the title - Friday brain!

  10. I like that rib hem finish. I wonder if the really thin rib knit would work for that. (I have way too much that impractical stuff in my stash. Uh, not that hem bands would make much of a dent.)
The ruffle shorts are adorable. My 6yo would like those.
